REFRAME is a proof of concept using a set of 3 animated video game posters that is designed to highlight key video game menus from different games to advocate the importance of menu design in the overall gaming experience.

Thesis Statement:

This thesis counters the industry notion that gameplay alone drives success, emphasizing video game branding and menu designs' pivotal role in shaping player experience through character, world, and menu communication to enhance navigation and immersion.

Research Questions:

Question 1: 
In what ways can menus connect to people personally?

Question 2:
What impact do menus have on how players engage with the game?

Question 3:
How can I convey both a game’s narrative and its menu or mechanics at the same time outside the actual game?

Outcome:

I hope the outcome of this thesis will educate everyone on the significance of menus in the overall gaming experience and that people resonate with it and can connect how we navigate menus with real life.
