“
Action is the foundational key to all success.”
- Pablo Picasso
Initially, "success" meant achieving recognition and financial stability. As I got older, I added obtaining a prestigious degree and a secure job to my definition. A semester off in Pakistan immersed in designing outfits, sourcing fabrics, and sharing my vision with tailors helped reshape my perspective. For the first time, I felt the fulfillment that stems from actualizing ideas into tangible designs. Returning, I hesitated to pursue SJSU's BFA program, fearing rejection. Encouragement from a mentor spurred me: “If you really want it, you'll make it happen.” With newfound determination, I applied. It wasn't just about wanting it; it was about giving it my all. I now actively pursue my version of success.
